Max Jolliffe was raised in Southern California, where his early years were shaped by life near the coast skateboarding and surfing.

Endurance didn’t enter his life through a traditional path. He transitioned into endurance running in his mid twenties, quickly gravitating toward longer distances and harsher conditions. Max eventually stepped into professional ultrarunning, competing in some of the most demanding races in the world. Known for his ability to perform in extreme heat and mountainous terrain, he has developed a reputation for durability and calculated aggression.

Beyond race results, Max has built a career that blends performance with storytelling — documenting his training, mountain projects, and extreme endurance efforts through film and digital media. His approach merges board-sport roots with long-distance suffering.
