Whether you’re constantly on the go for work, or planning a road trip or vacation this summer…staying healthy and fit can be a challenge while doing so. But here at BPN, we don’t let travel get in the way of our goals. Here are some of our top tips for staying healthy while traveling.
- Pack and prepare
One of the awesome things about our supplements is that almost all of them are easy to pack in your luggage. While you’re traveling, it is not the time to slip up on your supplement regimen. If you keep your body on its normal routine, you’ll be less likely to experience bloating, fatigue and other digestive system issues while you are on the go. Zip-lock bags always do the trick, too – just don’t forget your scooper!
This is extra important while you are traveling. It may not be the most convenient thing while on the road, but this will keep your skin, digestive system, and energy levels up. Carry a water bottle with you at all times – your body will thank you!
- Stick to Your Schedule
If you are someone who normally eats smaller meals throughout the day, try your best to maintain that. Having a huge breakfast when you normally wouldn’t can throw off your body making you feel slugglish – and no one wants to feel that way while traveling! There’s nothing wrong with indulging in extra dessert while on vacation, but do your best to stay on track and model your normal diet routine throughout the day.
- Don’t Forget the Protein
It can be challenging to find nutritious, complete proteins sources while traveling…but this is where planning comes in. Making sure that you stay on track with your protein goals will help you feel full and keep your body in an anabolic state. Whether it’s throwing in a shake for a mid-afternoon snack, or asking for grilled instead of fried chicken at dinner…there are ways to get your protein in and not throw off your muscle growth and fat loss progress.
- Snack Clean
Those airplane cookies and pretzels can be tempting, but they aren’t going to make you feel great! Instead, bring clean snacks that will keep you full and satisfied. Some of our favorites are protein shakes, chopped veggies, unsalted almonds or cashews, tuna packets, fresh fruit, or rice cakes.
